The May 16, 2017 Ballot will contain two propositions and two Board of Education seats as follows:

PROPOSITION NO. 1 - BUDGET (proposition will be finalized on April 19, 2017)

“Shall the sum of $129,072,250  be appropriated to meet the estimated expenditures for school purposes of the Bedford Central School District for the fiscal year 2017-2018, and shall that same sum, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be raised by a tax on taxable property of the school district?         

PROPOSITION NO. 2 – AT LARGE BOARD OF EDUCATION SEATS

That in all subsequent elections, vacancies on the Board of Education of the Bedford Central School District shall not be considered separate specific seats, the elections to fill vacancies on the Board of Education of the Bedford Central School District shall be at-large and the nominating petitions shall not describe any specific vacancy upon the Board of Education for which a candidate is nominated. 


TRUSTEE SEAT: There are TWO seats on which you may vote

Bedford Central School District Board Election is for specific seats. This means that a candidate running for school board must file the petition for the specific seat for which he or she is running.  The seats are designated by the current incumbent.  For the May 2017 elections, there are two seats whose terms end on June 30, 2017: the seat currently held by Andrew Bracco and the seat currently held by Edward Reder.

Vote for one candidate for each seat
