5th graders at MKES are participating in a 2-week long science enrichment experience involving catapults.

Students have been working in groups to design and build a working catapult. They’ve been using the scientific method to test the accuracy and precision of their catapults. They have been recording and analyzing data as they run their tests. Arbor Day is a holiday in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant trees. Today, MKES was fortunate to receive a number of donated plants from the Mt. Kisco Rotary Club. Members of the club and MKES students worked together to permanently install the plantings in front of our new Mt. KIsco Elementary School sign. There is now a "school supplies bank" located in the library! The purpose of this is to reuse old school supplies.Students and Staff may now drop off any used supplies (binders, folders, notebooks, ect) and pick up whatever they may need.
