1st Graders Honor Earth Day & Learn How To Recycle

In honor of Earth Day, first graders received a visit from the naturalists at Westmoreland Sanctuary. Steve and Rachel came to the first grade classrooms and taught the students about the importance of recycling and taking care of the earth. 5th Grade Student & Staff Bowling Tournament

Our traditional 5th grade student and staff bowling tournament was held on April 10th and April 11th at MKES!  MKES staff members joined our 5th grade students and together they bowled in this fun and exciting event.  The Hawaiian themed tournament featured leis, high fives, high scores, and some wild dance celebrations!

4th Grade Trip To Norwalk Maritime Aquarium

After-School Spanish Enrichment Presents "The Hungry Caterpillar" Puppet Show!

4th Annual MKES 5K

On Friday, April 4th the 5th graders turned our cafeteria into an Italian bistro. Their hospitality and top-notch service made the annual Pasta Night a huge success. It was wonderful seeing the staff, their families and the greater MKES school community come out to support such a festive occasion.

MKES 4th Graders Provide Lunch Bags For The Homeless

Community spirit is alive and well at Mount Kisco Elementary School. Fourth grade students exemplified this by making sandwiches for the homeless. Twenty-two students worked diligently in an assembly-line fashion to complete their task. Pre-K & K Students Participate in a Healthy Foods Taste Test!!

Our Pre-K and Kindergarten students had the opportunity to try some yummy, healthy snacks during their lunch period. A small team of school aides encouraged these youngsters to sample fruit cups, yogurt parfait, and fresh cut veggies. Students responded in a very positive way and were encouraged to remember the importance of choosing healthy snacks.

The 100th Day in Second Grade!

The second graders at MKES celebrated the 100th day of school by playing BINGO as a grade level in the cafeteria.  The students selected numbers between one and one hundred to write on their BINGO Boards.  The students delighted in finding the numbers on their boards, and several winners shouted  BINGO to win!

MKES Volleyball Team Plays for a Great Cause!!
