"50 Nifty United States" in Mrs. Rowans Music Class

Every year the fifth grade studies the fifty states in our country, and they learn the song "50 Nifty United States" .  Mrs. Rowan challenges students to see who can recite the states alphabetically the fastest.  This year's winner is Mia from 5-P/C, who was able to recite all fifty states alphabetically in 14 seconds! Please CLICK HERE to see video

Kindergarten Thanksgiving Celebration

MKES Kindergarten at the Apple Orchard

The kindergarten students enjoyed a wonderful day at Stuart's Fruit Farm!  The children were able to see the apple sorting machine at work and taste a delicious apple.  Each child picked their very own pumpkin to bring home.  The field trip was picture perfect and so was the weather!

Local Heroes Visit MKES!

Every year the volunteer firefighters from our four local fire stations come to MKES to educate our students about fire prevention and safety. Our students love this annual visit and are eager to ask questions about the job of a firefighter. MKES salutes our local heroes and thanks them for all that they do!
