NEH Summer Programs
The National Endowment for the Humanities has just announced its summer workshops for teachers. Each workshop is one week long, and covers topics such as The American Skyscraper (in Chicago), Abraham Lincoln (in Springfield, Illinois), the industrial revolution (in Lowell, Massachusetts), and the Mesa Verde Cultural Landscape (in Cortez, Colorado). Many other workshops are offered as well. The program is funded through federal grants, and therefore participants pay nothing. In fact, teachers selected to participate will receive a stipend of $1,200 at the end of the residential Workshop.
