Youth in Action is running a school supply drive for refugees at the Zaatari Camp in Jordan. Sophomore Caleb Conner will be traveling to Amman, Jordan over Spring Break and will visit the Zaatari Refugee Camp with the UNHCR (United Nations High Commission for Refugees). It is the largest refugee camp in Jordan and is now the fourth biggest city in Jordan.
Caleb's goal is to collect as many school supplies as possible to bring to the children who are at the refugee camp. Pens, pencils, notebooks, erasers, coloring books, novels, colored pencils, markers, etc.
Donation boxes will be in A311, A324, C113, A217, A223, the main office, and more!
We can accept donations from now until April 15th.
On Monday, March 18th the international GENIUS Olympiad announced its finalist. Of the 10 FL Science Research students who entered by paper, 6 were selected as finalists. These students will travel to Oswego, NY in June to present their research via poster among over 700 projects from 70 countries and 34 US States. Congratulations and good luck to Min Young Lee (also won through WESEF and will receive an all-expense paid trip), Alivia Alvarez, Benjamin Bassett, Cerina Karr, Marie Kazibwe, and Madeleine Sleeman! Madeleine will also be traveling to Tunisia for the International Festival of Engineering, Sciences and Technology at the end of March.

The Class of 2022 is hosting a Spring Scoops at Ben & Jerry's Fundraiser. Tuesday March 26th from 5-9pm, come support!
Sophomores! The Class of 2021 is looking for student volunteers to scoop ice cream during our Benefit Night at Ben & Jerry’s on Wednesday, April 17 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. If you and a friend are interested in helping, please Sign Up Here. Student Volunteers will receive community service hours for participating in this community building event. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact Ms. Halpern or Ms. Riccobono.
Fire and Ice, Fox Lane's literary and art journal, wants your creativity. You can submit your poems, short stories, creative non-fiction, short memoir, plays, and/or art work to the journal for possible publication. The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2019.
