- What you need to know
Welcome to Pound Ridge Elementary School!
-
We take pride in getting to know each one of our students as individuals and helping each learner maximize his or her potential.
Just off Westchester Avenue, on Pound Ridge Road in the hamlet of Pound Ridge, you’ll find Pound Ridge Elementary School: a small, K-5 elementary school that is dedicated to academic rigor and unleashing the wonder and joy of learning. One of five elementary schools in the Bedford Central School District, Pound Ridge Elementary School (PRES) is committed to the district motto of “Every Single Student, Every Single Day.”
At PRES, we take pride in getting to know each one of our students as individuals and helping each learner maximize his or her potential. We strive to provide a well-rounded experience for our students, delivering a curriculum that not only meets the New York State Common Core Learning Standards, but goes beyond to provide enriching experiences in athletics, art, music, and technology. We encourage learner engagement by providing some choice in experience, and by sparking inquiry and imagination in our students.
We have an incredibly supportive PTA, who support many additional programs that benefit our students each and every day. We are also thankful to the Bedford Central School District Foundation for their ongoing support of some of our programs that offer enriching experiences for our students. Finally, we celebrate our dedicated and compassionate staff who go above and beyond for our students and families.
Feel free to contact us with any questions, or visit our school website.
