The elementary physical education teachers of the Bedford Central School District are planning to celebrate PE and Sports Week with the following activities:

• Monday, May 8​ - Support Your Favorite Sport Day
  • Students and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite team jersey or team colors to school.
• Tuesday, May 9​ - Get To Know a Varsity Athlete
  • Fox Lane student-athletes will be visiting all of the elementary schools during lunch and recess periods to speak about Fox Lane High School and the athletic program. The student-athletes will also be playing some games with our fifth graders during their recess periods.
• Wednesday, May 10​ - Celebrate Sport and Fitness Day
  • Each school will celebrate today with a unique sport or fitness activity for their students. 
• Thursday, May 11​ – Districtwide 5th Grade Olympic Day 
  • Fifth-grade students from all five elementary schools will meet at the FLHS track and field complex to participate in a variety of fun events.
• Friday, May 12​ - Fox Day
  • Students and staff are encouraged to wear Fox Lane red and white colors to school.
• Fox Lane Athletic Events
  • Students, staff, and families are encouraged to attend Fox Lane athletic events during this special week.

Interscholastic sports registration with FamilyID is opening soon for the upcoming Spring 2023 season! Please upload a current physical when you register to aid in the process for approval.

A current physical on file is required to be approved for play by the district physician. We encourage early registration to ensure a smooth transition for the start of our season (practice and first day of tryouts) on Monday, March 13.

Modified Level Spring Sports (7th and 8th grade students ONLY)

Registration will open on Monday, February 27 for all of our modified spring sports teams as the season begins on Tuesday, March 27, 2023. 

We will hold a modified sports informational meeting after school in the large gym at Fox Lane Middle School on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 for all students interested in playing a spring sport.  This is a wonderful opportunity for our coaches to meet our student-athletes and answer questions. We do hope you will join us!

Please upload your physical when registering with FamilyID to ensure a smoother clearance process. If you have any trouble scheduling a physical, our district physician will be on campus Thursday, March 9 at 9 am at the high school and then the middle school right after at approximately 11 am. Any questions regarding physicals or this requirement, please reach out to the appropriate Health Office. We encourage you to reach out early.
