About BCSD

We are committed to an inclusive philosophy that broadens opportunities, builds support systems and eliminates barriers. Our dedication to social-emotional learning is supported by the implementation of the RULER program districtwide. We’re proud of our 8-12 grade AVID program, which targets capable but underperforming students and supports them to access the highest levels of coursework and begin the college planning process early. We were named to the 2023 AP Program School Honor Roll and received the 2023 Access Award, which is given to schools that “demonstrate a clear and effective commitment to equitable access to advanced coursework.” We partner with Project Lead The Way to offer technology and engineering courses to middle and high schoolers. We are proud of our Science Research Program and its commitment to growing students' research and leadership skills while participating in nationally recognized competitions. We’ve received the National Association of Music Merchants’ “Best Community in Music" Award multiple times. Mount Kisco Elementary School is home to our Dual Language Bilingual Education program which follows a two-way, side-by-side 50/50 immersion model.
