Why BCSD?

An easy drive or train ride away from New York City, Bedford Central School District is close enough to NYC to benefit from the resources and opportunities provided by a major urban center while also benefitting from everything the Westchester County suburbs have to offer.

BCSD serves Mount Kisco, Bedford, Bedford Hills, Pound Ridge, and portions of New Castle and North Castle, NY. Our location allows students to tend to lush gardens, explore scenic trails and visit historic landmarks. We are grateful to be supported by a variety of strong parent and community organizations including PTOs, The Foundation for Bedford Schools and Booster clubs.

We have five elementary schools, a middle school and a high school (including a small, community-oriented alternative high school program).

Curriculum & Instruction

We strive for an active, connected learning environment where students feel safe, supported and engaged.
