Social-Emotional Learning
In Bedford Central School District, we utilize the RULER approach to social-emotional learning. The RULER approach was designed by Marc Brackett from the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.

Since the 2020-2021 school year, an implementation team in each BCSD school, consisting of teachers, clinicians and adminstrators, participates in training to gain a deeper understanding of the RULER approach to social-emotional learning, its tools, and strategies. Schools implement the RULER framework in a variety of ways to support tier 1 universal instruction in social-emotional learning strategies.
