Student Supports by Grade Level
Elementary School Special Education Programs
All district elementary students are supported through a Response To Intervention System. For the majority of elementary age students, their needs can be met through building-level services.
Students classified under the committee for special education are similarly supported through a number of different programs at the various district elementary schools.
Listed below are descriptions of the various supports. At your student’s meeting of the Committee on Special Education (CSE) the team will identify the most appropriate support for your student given his/her needs and goals on the IEP. Parents, as members of the committee, are an integral part of this decision.
