We are excited to announce that the 6th grade will be travelling to Philadelphia in April 2019. In the spring, all 6th graders will be starting their Capstone experience which includes a student initiated inquiry-based project. The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia will provide them with inspiration and information as they begin to gather research for their respective nonfiction articles.
More information is posted on the FLMS Parent Communication website: Please see links below for permission slips.
South ─ April 8th

This trip is made possible by generous contributions from FLMSA and the Bedford Foundation. Students are being asked to make a contribution of $25 towards the trip costs. Families can pay the fee all at once, or in installments. If you need a payment plan, please touch base with your Homebase teacher.
Students may bring their trip money to their homebase teacher anytime before March 8, 2019.
We can create less garbage. Here is our chance to put LESS in the garbage. Tell your families and friends that a recycle bin for textiles is located on the Fox Lane Campus next to the entrance to the administration building across the street from the bus loop. Nearly 100% of textiles donated are recycled. A stained shirt or a torn towel becomes a cleaning cloth. A sock missing the other sock or old socks become pillow stuffing. Stuffed animals become car seat stuffing. All donated items must be clean, dry and bagged. Many items become insulation. Recyclable textiles INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITEDS TO FOOTWEAR LIKE shoes, heals, pumps, sandals, boots, sneakers, cleats, slippers, and flip flops, CLOTHING LIKE tops, sweaters, sweatshirts, jeans, dresses, tank tops, pajamas, coats, shorts, and socks, ACCESSORIES LIKE hats, handbags, gloves, ties, scarves, bathrobes, belts, duffel bags, and stuffed animals, and LINENS LIKE sheets, blankets, draperies, curtains, aprons, dish towels, table linens, comforters, and place mats. None of this should go in the garbage. All donated items must be clean, dry and bagged. We can do this.
