The Monster Art Project is Back!

What is the Monster Art Project?
A community art project that pairs first and second-grade artists with older artists who reimagine their work. The goal is to support young artists’ creativity and imagination and to spread joy!
Check out last year’s Monster Art Project, which saw nearly 600 pieces of art created (you can also view 2024 Monster Art Pairs )

How it Works
First and second-grade artists who choose to participate will create art inspired by monsters and/or the themes of this year’s BTA Fox Read book, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, during art class.
Community members (including teachers, students, family, community members, administrators) pair up with a buddy. The community artists then create artwork in their own style for their art buddy.
The art will all be exhibited at our Fox Read Art Exhibit & Student Reading on November 21, 2025, from 4:30-6:30 pm at Fox Lane High School. The whole community is invited!
Young art buddies will be gifted with community artists’ work when the exhibit closes.
