Congratulations to Fox Lane High School's Science Olympiad Teams! Fox Lane students finished fourth at the Lower Hudson Valley Regional Competition.
Learning to adjust to new remote parameters was not easy, but 37 students stepped up. Their efforts helped to extend a seven-year streak of qualifying for the New York State Competition.
Fox Lane had three teams competing. In addition to the fourth-place finish for Team A, Team C finished 28th, and Team B finished 31st.
Here is a look at a few of the stand-out performances:
- Jacob Feldman and Alexandra Griffin: first in Fossils
- Jacob Feldman and Matt Krasnow: first in Water Quality
- Alexandra Griffin and Jake Tetenman: fourth in Anatomy and Physiology
- Will Krasnow and Jen Lee: fourth in Sounds of Music
- Harry Griff and Matt Krasnow: fifth in Ornithology
- Joseph Long and Will Krasnow: fifth in Disease Detectives
Congratulations to all 37 students who participated as well as Dr. Dowling, Mr. Ludwig and Mr. Neumann who helped organize and motivate the students.
The team looks to continue its success on April 10th at the New York State competition.
