Bedford Central School District Honored for Communications

Bedford Central School District won a Publications and Digital Media award from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) in its annual competition.

The district won an Award of Excellence in the Excellence-in-Writing category for a story by Communications Specialist Jennifer Garry. The story was about the Miniature Art unit at Bedford Hills Elementary School, and highlighted student engagement.

NSPRA’s Publications and Digital Media Awards recognize outstanding education publications, e-newsletters, digital media programs, social media, websites and more. The competition is open to public and private schools nationwide.

“We take pride in providing parents and community members with a window into the learning that takes place across the district,” said Superintendent Dr. Joel Adelberg. “This story caught the judge’s eye but it was just one of many features that showcased our students and teachers this year. We were honored to be recognized for our efforts, and for the work of our communications specialist, Jennifer Garry.”
