BCSD Temporary Quarantine Support Plan Update

Dear BCSD Parent Community,

Wishing you a happy New Year at the beginning of this already challenging first few days of 2022. I know that we are all managing as best we can to care for sick family members who have been hit with the Omicron variant or recovering from a holiday season that may not have allowed us to gather with family and friends in the way we had hoped. In schools, we are managing through the prolonged trauma of navigating our third school year in a pandemic. As Omicron has managed to barge through so many households and we are witness to an exponentially growing number of COVID cases throughout our BCSD community, it is time to revise our plans based on the needs of our students. Like many school districts in our region, we are at a breaking point now where we must consider how to meet the needs of a large number of students who are quarantined due to a positive COVID-19 case.

Please see the description of our updated temporary quarantine plan for the month of January 2022:

Thank you for your support and flexibility during these unprecedented times. The partnership between home and school is essential as we work together to support the children in our care.

Please be sure to check our COVID Information page regularly for updates and resources.
